I want to share the story behind my latest song, 30 Days, which reflects the difficult journey many of us face when going through struggles like addiction, mental health battles, or personal hardship. This song isn’t about excitement; it’s about endurance, survival, and the daily fight to keep going when everything feels heavy.
The verses capture that day-by-day battle—“Day 1, I’m drownin’ in my thoughts, Day 2, it’s a struggle just to breathe.” These lines speak to the darkness we often find ourselves in, where every second feels like an uphill climb. The song progresses through the highs and lows, from moments of despair to brief glimpses of hope, as seen in “Day 10, I’m breakin’, cravin’ relief, but deep inside, there’s a flicker of belief.”
The chorus is the heart of the song: “30 days, the weight of endless nights, but I’m still here, through the struggle and the fight.” It’s a reflection of how even in the midst of the hardest moments, there’s a determination to keep going. Each step may be hard, but it’s still a step forward, and that’s what counts.
By the time we reach the bridge, the song shifts toward healing—“Day 20, my heart begins to heal, Day 25, I’m stronger than before.” It’s not an instant fix, but a slow climb out of the darkness. The outro, “Day 30, I’m standin’ tall, but the journey’s not done,” serves as a reminder that while progress has been made, the road ahead still requires strength.
30 Days isn’t about an easy victory. It’s about facing each day as it comes, pushing forward even when the path feels impossible. I hope this song offers a sense of solidarity for anyone going through their own battles—you’re not alone, and even the smallest steps are worth celebrating.
